Cloud / DevOps Engineer (CDP)

By enrolling in our Career Development Programme, you will get to learn the fundamentals of DevOps, Cloud, Automation and Infrastructure while working on real projects.

With the guidance of our Senior DevOps Engineers, you will gain real project experience and learn the fundamentals of DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure. You will get the opportunity to own and contribute on end to end engineering cycles, from requirement specification up to project delivery and operations.

A Full-time Engineering Contract will be offered to candidates upon successful completion of the Career Development Programme.

Programme Goals

• Understand core DevOps and Cloud concepts (Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Automation, Virtualization and Containerization).
• Work on real projects from early phases of Planification, Design, Implementation, Documentation to Delivery and Day 2 Operations.
• Apply and embrace Scrum principles for frequent deliveries.
• Collaborate with other team members and manage technical communication channels with stakeholders and client.
• Continuous technical feedback and project reviews with Senior DevOps Staff.
• Get familiarized in fast-paced environments and distributed teams.
• Prepare to get certified in one of CKA, CKAD, Terraform, or one of AWS Associate certification paths.

What you'll learn

• Amazon Web Services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFront, Route53, ECR)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes & Helm)
• Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git)
• Automation in Linux with Python & Bash
• Serverless functions with AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch Events and REST APIs
• Understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SSH) and network troubleshooting (tcpdump, wireshark)
• Monitoring tools such as ELK Stack with ElasticSearch, Logstash, Filebeat, Kibana, Prometheus and Grafana
• Agile methodologies, Scrum concepts, events and artifacts
